My experience in fundraising involves the few years during which I fund-raised for different causes including humanitarian relief and development projects, Islamic schools and Masjids funding. The amounts range from over little ten thousands for small projects to hundreds of thousands of dollars for large projects. 

In my fifteen years involvement with the MSA, I served as MSA president, Khateeb and eventually a faculty adviser to a number of Muslim Student Associations at different colleges including private, public and community colleges.

I strongly believe that the MSAs with their dedicated boards and general body members have great and direct impact on their members and the society at large. While they continue to contribute to the betterment of the society, they continue to be faced by worldly and religious obstacles, which if not addressed realistically and practically may result in hindering the potential of our young leaders at the MSAs. 

As a former member and adviser to different MSAs, I strongly believe that we should listen to the youth and then focus our mentor-ship to give them the right tools to succeed in their life mission.
